WHY WE DO IT

We have a proven track record of growth in key climate technologies, such as electric vehicles (EVs) and solar power, driving the decarbonization of our economy and society. Rapid deployment and scaling of clean energy technologies are critical to addressing climate change, the greatest challenge humanity faces in our lifetime. To avoid the worst impacts of climate change, we must reduce global greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050, limiting global warming to 1.5 °C.

‘Getting to Net Zero’ will require rapid change and large-scale clean technology deployment across all industries, which will affect almost every part of modern life in a low carbon economy and ensure everyone has access to the affordable reliable clean energy they need to thrive.

It will also mean that this transition is the greatest opportunity to build entirely new businesses because it is estimated that to reach net-zero will be the largest capital deployment in the history of mankind as well.
